Intern, Business Development

K1 Investment Management is looking for a Business Development Intern for Summer 2026 in Manhattan Beach, CA. This internship offers a chance to learn about investment prospects and work closely with experienced team members. Interns will engage in research, outreach, and analysis, gaining valuable insights into the Private Equity industry.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with research on industries and target companies
• Participate in outreach to target companies
• Shadow calls with management of target companies
• Support daily Business Development operations
• Help maintain data cleanliness in proprietary systems
• Assist team members with various tasks as needed

What You Need

• Current Junior-level standing (rising Senior during Summer 2026)
• High intellectual curiosity and strong people skills
• Self-starter, ambitious, and team-oriented
• Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive attitude
• First generation college students are encouraged to apply
