Investment Associate, Investing Strategy

Fort Point Capital Partners is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you’ll support various functions of the investment team, focusing on trading, research, and due diligence across private alternative asset strategies. What You’ll Do

• Help manage portfolios and assist with trading and rebalancing.
• Analyze client portfolios and create asset allocation proposals.
• Support advisors in building presentations with market research and analytics.
• Conduct performance analysis on various securities and funds.
• Research private investment opportunities and managers.
• Create and manage marketing materials like client letters and pitchbooks.
• Update investment returns and statistics using portfolio management software.

What You Need

• You’re eager to learn about investment advisory and private alternative investments.
• You have strong project and time management skills.
• You can stay organized and pay attention to detail.
• You have solid problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• You’re proficient in Microsoft Excel and can quickly learn new software.
• Experience with Addepar, Redblack, Morningstar, Pitchbook, or Bloomberg is a plus.
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree and are progressing towards CFA or CAIA.
• You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
