MFV Partners is looking for a senior leader to expand their energy and climate deep tech practice. This role involves sourcing and evaluating investments in innovative startups, working closely with founders to help them grow. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and investment experience in the energy sector.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and own investment theses in energy and climate tech.
  • Build relationships with researchers and founders to source opportunities.
  • Lead technical and commercial diligence on potential investments.
  • Present investment recommendations to the committee.
  • Work directly with portfolio founders to help them scale.

What You Need

  • Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of direct investing experience in energy, climate, or deep tech.
  • Strong judgment on technical, commercial, and execution risks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in financial modeling.
  • Real conviction in the energy transition as an investment category.
