Manager, Venture Engagement

SVG Ventures | THRIVE is looking for a Venture Engagement Manager in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role involves working closely with founders to help accelerate their growth by connecting them with the right partners and resources. The ideal candidate will have experience in the startup ecosystem and a passion for supporting innovation. You’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the agrifood and cleantech sectors.

What You’ll Do

• Engage with founders to support their growth and connect them with valuable resources.
• Manage a portfolio of ventures and monitor their progress.
• Recruit and onboard high-potential ventures into THRIVE’s programs.
• Support program delivery and enhance participant experience.
• Track venture progress against key performance indicators.
• Maintain relationships with program alumni and represent THRIVE at industry events.
• Contribute to ecosystem development and partner engagement.

What You Need

• 3-5 years of experience in a startup ecosystem or innovation-focused organization.
• Experience supporting or delivering accelerator or innovation programs.
• Familiarity with government-funded programs and public sector reporting.
• Strong relationship-building skills with founders, corporates, and investors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset.
