Mark IV Capital is a privately held, growth-oriented real estate development and investment company headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. focused on acquiring, developing, owning, and operating commercial real estate investments. The firm is seeking a Senior Associate, Family Office to join its team.

The Senior Associate, Family Office will serve as an integral part of the Family Office team serving our Shareholders and Family Office accounting needs. This position reports to the Vice President, Tax & Family Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for recording transactions (e.g., cash receipts, cash disbursements, and investments activity)
  • Responsible for researching AP and AR discrepancies, corresponding findings, and resolving issues
  • Maintaining general ledgers
  • Reconciling general ledger and bank/investment accounts
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other Comprehensive Bases of Accounting
  • Preparing cash flow projections and forecasts
  • Presenting financial results and other reports to family office clientele
  • Assisting with processing and running 1099’s for all entities
  • Prepare financial analysis reports to measure financial performance of investment accounts using common financial metrics such as IRR, ROI, etc.
  • Analyze and value privately held real estate and venture capital investments
  • Work cohesively with the family office team and assist on any ad hoc projects, as requested
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • A minimum of five (5) years prior family office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis in Excel, with minimum knowledge of xlookups, indexmatch, and curiosity
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • Strong foundation of technical accounting principles

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPA designation, a plus
