Principal, Alternative Credit (Fund Finance)

Ares Management is looking for a Principal to join their Alternative Credit team in New York. This role focuses on fund finance origination and structuring, where you’ll be building relationships with sponsors and sourcing new investment opportunities. You’ll play a key role in negotiating and executing transactions while also contributing to branding initiatives. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a growing team in a dynamic industry.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with US-based Sponsors
• Source new investment opportunities in fund finance
• Negotiate and structure fund finance transactions
• Distribute originated risk within the firm and externally
• Develop branding initiatives through events and conferences

What You Need

• Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent required
• 8+ years of experience in investment firms, banks, or similar organizations
• Strong analytical skills in finance and accounting
• Understanding of loan and transaction documentation
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and business valuations
• Strong networking skills
