Principal, Buyout Investing

DTE Capital Partners is looking for a Principal to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll take ownership of investment deals from start to finish, working closely with founders and the investment team. You’ll lead transactions, drive value creation in portfolio companies, and contribute to the growth of the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in private equity and a passion for impactful investing.

What You’ll Do

• Source and develop new investment opportunities in energy, food, and health sectors.
• Lead transactions from valuation to negotiation and closing.
• Drive value creation in portfolio companies.
• Supervise and mentor the investment team.
• Contribute to fund development and investor relations.

What You Need

• At least 10 years of relevant private equity experience.
• Proven track record in lower mid-market buyouts.
• Experience in M&A, venture capital, or strategy consulting is a plus.
• Independently led transactions from start to finish.
• Experience with hardware-driven technology companies.
• Strong financial modeling and deal documentation skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
