Principal, Digital Infrastructure Counsel

Ares Management is looking for a Principal to join their Digital Infrastructure Legal team. This role involves providing strategic legal advice, negotiating leases, and managing contracts to support the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the data center industry and a strong understanding of sales and marketing processes.

What You’ll Do

• Provide legal advice to revenue, product, and marketing teams.
• Negotiate leases and various commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with teams to develop legal strategies that support business goals.
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage litigation matters related to sales and marketing activities.
• Develop training for internal stakeholders on legal issues.
• Engage and manage external legal counsel as needed.

What You Need

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a strong academic background.
• 10+ years of experience in legal roles, especially in the data center industry.
• Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of sales, product, and marketing processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
