Principal, Private Equity Product Specialist

Ares Management is looking for a Principal / Managing Director to join their Wealth Management Solutions team as a Private Equity Product Specialist. In this senior role, you’ll work closely with various teams to drive the distribution and marketing of private equity solutions. You’ll engage with financial advisors, present at industry events, and help shape product strategies. This is a great opportunity for someone with extensive experience in private equity and a passion for client engagement.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the main contact between private equity teams and wealth management solutions.
• Help shape the strategy for distributing private equity solutions.
• Meet with financial advisors to share insights and updates.
• Present at conferences on market trends and investment opportunities.
• Review and enhance existing products based on market feedback.
• Generate analytical data to support product positioning.
• Educate new hires and existing staff on private equity products.

What You Need

• 10+ years of experience in private equity and secondaries, private markets, or wealth management.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investments and financial markets.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with various audiences.
• Ability to work well in teams and build relationships across departments.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Licenses like Series 63 & 7 preferred, or ability to obtain them.
• Creative thinker who can identify process improvements.
