Principal, Private IG Investing

Apollo Global Management is looking for a Principal to join their Private Investment Grade team. In this role, you’ll lead the origination and execution of complex investment transactions while managing a team and developing innovative solutions. What You’ll Do

• Lead the origination and execution of private investment grade transactions.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and present findings to the investment committee.
• Negotiate terms and structure deals to protect the portfolio.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify any credit issues early.
• Collaborate with various teams and external partners to source new opportunities.
• Supervise junior team members and help them grow professionally.

What You Need

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance or investment.
• Strong background in private placements, leveraged finance, or structured credit.
• Proven track record in leading complex transactions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing and developing junior team members.
• Established relationships in the finance industry.
• Willingness to learn about insurance balance-sheet investing.
