Principal, Venture Capital Investing

Schematic Ventures is looking for a Venture Capital Principal to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for early-stage investing. You’ll be responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, building relationships, and managing the investment process. What You’ll Do

• Source and secure preseed and seed investment opportunities.
• Build relationships with founders, engineers, and investors.
• Develop investment theses on emerging tech markets.
• Evaluate companies and lead due diligence and financial analysis.
• Manage the investment process from initial meeting to closing.
• Work with portfolio companies on strategy and fundraising.
• Promote the firm’s brand through events and content.

What You Need

• 2 – 4+ years of experience in venture capital.
• Strong network in the San Francisco startup and tech community.
• Proven track record of investments and working with early-stage companies.
• Technical background or strong technical understanding.
• Self-directed and able to work independently.
• Passionate about technology and early-stage investing.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
