Position Overview

PSG is seeking an Analyst to join the Sourcing team, which originates new investment opportunities for PSG as well as acquisitions for PSG’s existing portfolio companies. This is a great opportunity for people to gain early access to Growth Equity, work on live deals, direct exposure to entrepreneurs, and have one-on-one training to further investor skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sourcing and execution teams by researching, finding, and contacting CEOs of great software companies that fit PSG’s investment criteria
  • Closely track and manage relationship with 1,000+ quality investment targets. Develop and employ investment judgement to determine where PSG should invest its resources
  • Perform in-depth industry and market research
  • Present at biweekly meetings with PSG senior leadership to discuss new deal opportunities
  • Find attractive M&A targets for PSG’s portfolio companies and help dictate M&A strategy
  • Stay involved with deals as they progress through PSG’s review process to gain exposure to the due diligence, evaluation, and negotiations and to support deals post-close, specifically with M&A sourcing

Ideal Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and track record of strong academic performance required
  • 1-2 years of professional experience; investment banking, investing, business development, sales or prior deal origination experience strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and comfortable working independently
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with colleagues; coachable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to express key points in a clear and concise manner
  • A competitive drive to own individual and team results
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a vibrant, growing environment while meeting the expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage rapidly changing assignments
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior
