This is an opportunity to join the Investment Analyst team, which will invest in disruptive startups from across EU & LATAM regions. You will be part of an experienced and diverse team, scouting and selecting high potential startups, ‘accelerate’ them to scale-ready, and co-invest up to series B.

As Investment Analyst you will have the opportunity to lead the whole process, from identification, qualification, to running analysis on early stage startups, finding the best tech startups for selection and for the portfolio of investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Fund Partners and Investment Associate in the scouting, sourcing and development of new investment opportunities;
• Support the Corporate Innovation team in in the sourcing process of corporate innovations within tech space;
• Researching companies and trends, specifically in Innovation, and Energy, to shape and refine fund investment strategy;
• Helping identify social issues where impact venture investment can help scale innovative solutions – including through analysis of tech-enabled impact business models;
• Building networks and relationships throughout the venture capital ecosystem in both Europe and LATAM.

About you

A true team player with an entrepreneurial attitude, exceptional analytical skills and the ability to focus on several issues without compromising on quality or efficiency. Passionate about early stage startups and scale-ups with confidence in numbers and easily able to analyse large quantities of data to draw high level insights.

It takes you only minutes on a website/presentation to fully understand the business model and product, distilling large volumes of information into clear, concise analyses that you are able to communicate confidently.

Must haves:

• A bachelor’s in business, finance, or economics or similar.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience working in startup ecosystem environment or VC.
• Passion for innovation and startups, with a desire to excel in the fields of venture capital and entrepreneurship.
• Data-driven and financially literate, with a strong analytical mindset. Excellent attention to detail combined with an ability to step back and see the patterns in and implications of data and analysis
• Well-developed social and interpersonal skills, strong relationship management skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English

Start: August 2023

Availability: 40 hours per week

Duration: Initial 7 month contract, with views to extend to a longer period
