Senior Associate, Asset Management

The Senior Associate in Asset Management at Overlay Capital will play a key role in monitoring and managing the performance of the firm’s loan portfolio related to energy infrastructure. This position involves financial tracking, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with loan agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and asset management, and will be integral to the firm’s growth and operational success.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor the performance and credit profile of the loan portfolio.
• Oversee cash management and ensure accurate capital calls and distributions.
• Manage relationships with external fund administrators and service providers.
• Prepare and review investor reports and portfolio summaries.
• Identify and assess risks affecting loan repayments.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3-6+ years of experience in asset management, infrastructure investing, project finance, or credit analysis.
• Experience with private credit and loan agreements.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with fund accounting is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple external service providers and complex workflows.
