Senior Associate, Capital Solutions Surveillance

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to join their Structured Products Surveillance Team. This role involves monitoring private credit CLO portfolios and supporting various compliance and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private credit and CLO mechanics, and will work closely with different teams to ensure accurate reporting and risk management.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor private credit portfolios across multiple CLO transactions
• Prepare regular portfolio surveillance reports for Portfolio Managers
• Reconcile monthly Trustee reports and quarterly payment date reports
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reporting
• Support new CLO issuances and refinancings
• Assist with data requests for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with legal counsel, trustees, and rating agencies

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Private Credit, Direct Lending, CLO Surveillance, Structured Credit, or Portfolio Management
• Strong knowledge of CLO mechanics and documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
