Senior Associate, Credit Investing

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to join their U.S. Direct Lending team in New York. In this role, you’ll be involved in the entire investment process, from analyzing opportunities to managing a portfolio. You’ll work closely with both senior and junior team members, gaining valuable experience and exposure to key stakeholders. What You’ll Do

• Analyze new investment opportunities and assess credit risks
• Build complex financial models to evaluate investments
• Prepare and present investment committee materials
• Negotiate legal documentation and lead investment closings
• Manage a portfolio of investments and monitor performance
• Guide junior team members and provide feedback

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• 4-5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Credit
• Experience in Leveraged Finance or Private Credit is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and investment judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
