Senior Associate, Energy Infrastructure Investing

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to lead their North American Energy Infrastructure efforts. This role involves developing and implementing energy strategies for their data center operations, managing teams, and driving sustainability initiatives. What You’ll Do

• Help create and implement a global energy strategy for the company
• Manage teams working on power procurement and clean energy projects
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of power projects from start to finish
• Drive sustainability initiatives and reduce carbon footprint
• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector
• Monitor energy markets to identify risks and opportunities
• Lead the adoption of innovative energy technologies
• Negotiate energy contracts to secure the best terms

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Experience in energy management or utilities, especially with data centers or large-scale projects
• Strong leadership skills to manage global teams
• Excellent financial skills, including budget management
• Ability to work with C-level executives and diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills to turn data into insights
• Experience in sustainability initiatives and renewable energy targets
• Willingness to travel globally as needed
