Senior Associate, Public Markets – Equity Trader (Derivatives Focused)

Temasek is looking for a Senior Associate or Assistant Vice President to join their Public Markets team in London. This role focuses on trading equities and derivatives, ensuring top-notch execution and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team to support global investment strategies and enhance returns for Temasek’s portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Execute and manage trades in cash equities and derivatives.
• Structure and price OTC derivative solutions.
• Identify and execute trading opportunities with brokers.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams for trade execution.
• Support improvements in trading processes and systems.
• Prepare trade summaries and market updates for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members to build their skills.

What You Need

• 3-7 years of trading experience in equity derivatives or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of OTC and listed equity derivatives.
• Familiarity with trading systems and market microstructure.
• Excellent attention to detail and risk management skills.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Programming skills in Excel, VBA, or Python are a plus.
