Senior Associate, European Real Assets Debt Capital Markets

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to join their Debt Capital Market team in London. This role involves sourcing and executing debt financing for European real assets. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial real estate debt and will work closely with various stakeholders to manage loan performance and identify refinancing opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Help with the entire borrowing process, from RFPs to loan agreements.
• Provide advice on loans that are underperforming or on a watch-list.
• Monitor loan performance and compare it to business plans.
• Assist with requests for loan concessions or waivers.
• Act as a liaison between various stakeholders like legal teams and lenders.
• Keep an eye on market trends and their impact on loans.
• Work on projects to improve loan reporting and banking opportunities.

What You Need

• At least 6 years of experience in commercial real assets financing in Europe.
• Strong understanding of debt due diligence and transaction management.
• Experience with performing and non-performing loans.
• Familiarity with LMA structured finance.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and market research services.
• Knowledge of European languages is a plus.
