Senior Associate, Venture Investing

Raven (RA Ventures) is looking for a Senior Associate to join their team in Boston. This role is perfect for someone with a scientific background who wants to help build new biotech companies. You’ll be involved in everything from evaluating new technologies to supporting company formation and financial analysis. What You’ll Do

• Work with a team to identify and assess new biotech opportunities.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and competitive landscapes.
• Support the formation of new companies through strategic diligence.
• Evaluate therapeutic applications and commercial potential.
• Build financial models to inform investment decisions.
• Prepare materials for internal and external communications.
• Engage with industry leaders and represent the firm at events.

What You Need

• PhD in biological sciences or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in biotech or pharma.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information.
• Knowledge of the biotech ecosystem and drug development processes.
• Experience with financial modeling and commercial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for writing and presenting.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
