Senior Associate, Workouts/Restructuring Portfolio Ops

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to join their Infrastructure Debt Portfolio Management team. In this role, you’ll be involved in workouts and restructurings, working closely with senior leadership and portfolio company executives. You’ll handle financial analysis, legal document review, and performance improvement efforts, all while contributing to a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct financial modeling and analysis for restructurings and portfolio companies
• Review and negotiate legal documents
• Lead performance improvement initiatives for portfolio companies
• Support due diligence for restructurings and portfolio companies
• Communicate with management teams about strategy and financial performance
• Draft and present memos for the Investment Committee
• Utilize proprietary software for company tracking

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• 5+ years of investment banking, consulting or private equity experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with credit, equity, and restructuring legal documents
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem solver
