Senior Associate, Special Situations – US Direct Lending PMG

Ares Management is looking for a Senior Associate to join their U.S. Direct Lending Special Situations team. In this role, you’ll support equity positions and help with restructurings in a large portfolio. What You’ll Do

• Support equity positions and workouts in the U.S. Direct Lending portfolio
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis for restructurings
• Assist in performance improvement for portfolio companies
• Engage in due diligence for active restructurings
• Review and negotiate legal documentation
• Communicate with management teams about financial performance
• Draft and present memos to senior leadership
• Utilize proprietary software for company tracking

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• 4+ years of consulting, credit, private equity, or investment banking experience
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with credit, equity, and restructuring legal documents
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
• Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness
