Senior Associate, Venture Investing

Connecticut Innovations is looking for a Senior Associate to join their team in New Haven, CT. This role involves sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market analysis and financial modeling. You’ll work closely with portfolio companies to help them grow and succeed while being part of a dynamic and inclusive team.

What You’ll Do

• Research and evaluate new investment opportunities.
• Conduct market and technology analysis for startups.
• Lead financial modeling and valuation efforts.
• Prepare investment memos and reports for committees.
• Support portfolio companies in their growth initiatives.
• Represent the firm at industry events.

What You Need

• PhD preferred; MD/PhD is a plus.
• Master’s degree in business or science considered.
• Knowledge of healthcare and life sciences.
• Experience in market and competitive analysis.
• Startup or growth experience in a venture-backed company is valued.
• Experience in investment origination and portfolio management preferred.
• Strong networking skills within the life sciences ecosystem.
