Senior Associate, Venture Investing

Yamaha Motor Ventures is looking for a Senior Associate to join their investment team in Palo Alto, CA. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic and curious about diverse technologies. You will be involved in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and representing the firm at various industry events.

What You’ll Do

• Build relationships in the venture and startup ecosystems.
• Participate in the due diligence process with partners.
• Conduct research and financial analysis on potential investments.
• Assess business plans and investment proposals.
• Develop investment recommendations and supporting documents.
• Facilitate collaboration between startups and Yamaha’s businesses.
• Represent the firm at industry events.

What You Need

• Curiosity about different technologies and a desire to learn.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, robotics, or AI is a plus.
• At least 5 years in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Passion for working with startups.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
