Senior Associate, Venture Investments

Novo Holdings is looking for a Public Equity Senior Associate to join their San Francisco team. This role involves analyzing and managing public equity investments in biotech and medtech companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background and experience in the healthcare investment sector. You’ll be responsible for assessing investment opportunities and collaborating with various teams to support the firm’s investment strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Assess new public investment opportunities in biotech and medtech.
• Evaluate management teams, clinical plans, and market potential.
• Prepare and present investment materials for potential investments.
• Monitor and manage existing public investments.
• Collaborate with other teams to support various investment strategies.

What You Need

• Strong scientific or clinical background, ideally with a Ph.D. or M.D.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing biotech or medtech companies.
• Experience in asset management, equity research, investment banking, or consulting focused on healthcare.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with databases and data sources for company research.
