StepStone Group is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Private Debt team in Luxembourg. In this role, you’ll provide legal advice on fund matters and work closely with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be drafting agreements, ensuring compliance, and managing legal projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in investment funds to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the Associate General Counsel on fund matters and agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate various fund-related documents.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on fund financing agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local marketing laws and regulations.
  • Support the management of Luxembourg boards and outside service providers.

What You Need

  • 4-5 years of experience in investment funds, preferably in a law firm or asset management firm.
  • Strong background in negotiating and drafting fund-related agreements.
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg Alternative Investment Funds is essential.
  • Experience with Irish, US, and Cayman fund structures is a plus.
  • Some in-house legal experience is preferred.
