About the Role

Spectrum is seeking a highly motivated, capable investment professional to join our investment team as an Analyst in a rigorous and fast-paced environment.

The role will have a wide range of responsibilities that span the business in areas including research, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities, portfolio company management, and reporting/analytics. Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to solve ambiguous, real-world problems will be critical to success in this role.

The Analyst role will begin as soon as practicable. Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with a candidate’s experience.

What You Will Do

  • Support all aspects of evaluation, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities
  • Support current investments in operating businesses and other portfolio holdings through performance analysis, ongoing diligence, and financing / operating initiatives
  • Support the creation and refinement of investment theses
  • Assist in sourcing investment opportunities and cultivating strategic relationships
  • Conduct ad hoc investment-related projects as needed
  • Thematic and industry-specific research

What ideal candidates will bring to the organization:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, investment management, or other finance-related fields
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in principal investing
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Long-term approach to building an investment career
  • Comfort working on a small, performance-oriented team
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Outgoing and personable demeanor
