Spira Capital is a fractional C-Suite services provider specializing in startups, small businesses, and venture capital rms. We provide boutique, white-glove service to clients across the globe.

We’re gaining new clients, expanding into new markets, and are poised for signicant growth over the next year.

Work Location & Hours

The work is 90%+ remote. Ideally, you would be located in or near Austin, Texas, to attend occasional in-person meetings and manage weekly postal pickups.

We’re willing to consider candidates outside of Texas as long as you are based in the U.S. and would be willing to travel to Texas on occasion (1-2 times per year) if needed.

There are no set hours as long as you’re available to swiftly address client needs, which are primarily concentrated between 10:00am and 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

Description of Responsibilities

  • Accounting & bookkeeping including accounts payable/accounts receivable, reconciliations, expense reports, and invoicing.
  • Operational support including running payroll, onboarding client employees, and providing documentation for clients during tax season.
  • Entity formation, compliance (including annual franchise tax reports), and Secretary of State registrations.
  • Clerical and administrative tasks such as creating and maintaining digital ling systems; and creating, implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures, both internally and client-facing.
  • Providing clients with status reports, updates and frequent communications regarding their deliverables.
  • Ad-hoc client projects (past projects include researching health insurance options and nding vendor cost savings).

Required Experience

  • Prociency with Quickbooks or similar accounting software.
  • Prociency with Excel and Google Sheets.
  • 2+ years of full-time work experience in operations, accounting, or as an Executive Assistant to a C-level executive.

  • Tech-forward – you learn new software platforms quickly, and when you encounter an issue with your computer, you can usually solve it with Google.

Desired Experience

  • Prociency in various SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, SquareSpace, Gusto, Rippling, Pilot, Puzzle, Ramp, Mercury, password management tools (e.g. Dashlane), e-signature platforms (e.g. DocuSign), and Carta.
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience in operations, accounting, or as an Executive Assistant to a C-level executive.
  • Full-time work experience with startups or venture capital rms. Compensation

Salary range $60,000-$70,000 per year with fast growth potential. The position is part-time to start, approximately 30 hours per week, on a 1099 contract basis, for the rst 30 days, with potential to convert to full-time W2 with full benets thereafter.
