The role is a critical component of The Carlyle Group. The Analyst is a two-year program (with optional 6 months extension) where the Analyst will work in a fully integrated manner with Carlyle Asia and global investment professionals, various functional teams, and Carlyle’s senior operating executives. The breadth of industries, the multiple types of investments and the in-depth exposure of investment and exit decisions, will provide a unique opportunity to gain significant business, investing and analytical experience. This two-year experience will provide a solid foundation for the Analyst – 2 Year in their future career aspirations, including developing strong skillsets and visions in the evolving private equity industry, and pursuing higher studies of management education in top business schools globally.

Responsibilities
- Perform business, operational and financial analysis to facilitate assessment of investment opportunities and management of portfolio companies.
- Build up financial model reflective of business fundamentals; perform quantitative analysis on return profile and leverage scenarios.
- Conduct business, financial, legal, IT and compliance due diligence on prospective investment targets along with other senior deal team members and external vendors or advisors.
- Prepare internal & external reporting materials including but not limited to Investment Committee Memos, portfolio review materials and other team discussion materials.
- Work closely with management teams on driving value creation initiatives for portfolio companies.
- Help discover long-term investment themes amid the dynamic macro and market environment and shape the long-term investment strategy for Carlyle in Asia.
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
· Undergraduate or University Degree or above from a highly regarded institution.
· Excellent academic performance in school.
· Well recognized qualifications or certificates in financial, accounting, IT or languages will be a plus.
Professional Experience
- · 1-2 years of relevant work experience at an investment bank, private equity firm, equity research firm, management consulting or similar setting. Fresh graduate with at least 9 months of extensive internship experience will also be considered.
- Strong business integrity, teamwork spirit, sense of responsibility and quick-learning capability.
