About the Role

TPG has an exciting opportunity for an Associate/Senior Associate to join its Investor Relations team in the Fort Worth office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the oversight of TPG’s Operational Due Diligence processes, for fundraising efforts as well as ongoing monitoring of investments for current LPs.
  • Interact and communicate directly with LPs and prospects to ensure requests are being handled in a professional and timely manner.
  • Partner with Client and Capital Formation Group and Firm Services (Accounting, Finance, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to ensure all teams are aligned on LP requests and any outbound communications to LPs.
  • Coordinate Operational Due Diligence meetings with prospective investors and host meetings along with Firm Services leadership.
  • Ensure quality control of due diligence processes and proper delegation of tasks amongst IR due diligence team.
  • Maintain due diligence databases and provide metrics and reporting on IR deliverables and deadlines.
  • Ad hoc cross-functional projects, including quarterly update to firmwide marketing materials, reporting on our investor base, and strategic projects for the broader Client & Capital Formation Group.
  • Prioritize LP requests according to “high touch” sensitivity; have a thorough knowledge of LP base.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend change to drive efficiency throughout the Investor Relations, Client and Capital Formation, and Firm Services teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of applicable investor relations or financial services experience.
  • Strong customer service mentality and a commitment to excellence.
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational skills, attention to detail, sense of ownership, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload effectively, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead a meeting or facilitate a meeting between senior leadership and external clients.
  • Understanding of private equity industry and experience with institutional investors, investor requests, and investor due diligence/ongoing monitoring of investments.
  • Strong Excel/analytic skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; Salesforce, Monday.com, Qvidian experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and high energy environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group lines to achieve firm-wide goals.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and escalate issues when needed.
