About the Summer Internship Program
TrueBridge’s Summer Analyst Program is a comprehensive 10-week internship designed for rising seniors pursuing bachelor’s degrees, particularly in business, finance, or economics. This immersive experience provides undergraduates with a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation in private markets investing and venture capital.
Summer Analysts play a crucial role in supporting the investment team’s activities including analyzing potential and exiting fund and direct investments, monitoring current portfolio companies, conducting research on both fund and direct investment opportunities, and will assist the investment team with deal processes. Summer Analysts will gain insight into the broader venture capital ecosystem and have access to top tier venture firms.
Key responsibilities include
- Performing quantitative analysis, including company, manager, and performance modeling and valuation
- Providing research, modeling, and analytical support for the investment team
- Supporting senior team in the decision-making process, including involvement in the preparation of internal investment proposals, internal committee presentations, legal negotiations, and transaction closings
- Conducting company, manager, and industry research
- Accessing internal training resources and the guidance of a mentor to bridge the educational gap
- Exposure to deal flow, strategy, and operations as observing in investment team meetings
- Assisting in all aspects of the transaction, whether fund, direct, or secondary
- Communicating investment recommendations through written work, including one-page summaries and investment memorandums
- Developing and maintaining proprietary transaction and market intelligence
- Performing investment monitoring analysis in support of the investment team
- Conducting ad hoc investment-related projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have
- Undergraduate degree in December 2025 or Spring 2026
- GPA of 3.2 or above
- Strong academic credentials with a major in finance, accounting, economics, or related studies
- History of relevant internship experience, schoolwork, and/or extracurricular activities within the private equity, investment banking, investment management, or valuation fields
- High proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with prior financial modeling experience preferred
- Demonstrable initiative, commitment toward excellence in work, and great attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity, with a strong interest in technology, startups, and innovation, and experience with secondaries due diligence process and analysis.
- Team-oriented mindset with a heavy emphasis on written and verbal communication
- Excellent technical foundations in corporate finance and accounting
- Self-discipline, taking accountability and operating with high integrity
- U.S. work authorization and current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, Raleigh/Chapel Hill area.
