We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join very early Ventures as a Visiting Analyst, where you will collaborate closely with the founders of the fund.
As a Visiting Analyst you will be an integral part of the team, collaborating daily with the founders. This program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the venture capital world focused on the blockchain industry, combining market research, deal screening, and due diligence of potential investments.You will have the opportunity to take part in all activities of the fund’s investment side, including leading screening calls and presenting at the Investment Committee (IC).
At very early Ventures, you’ll gain first hand exposure to the cutting edge developments in the blockchain ecosystem, engage with some of the most innovative entrepreneurs, and build a solid foundation in the VC and blockchain landscape. Through our structured mentorship and training, you’ll gain valuable insights into the challenges of building a company and a fund, dive deep into the blockchain industry and grow your professional network within the industry.

Your responsibilities
- Market Research: Perform independent research sprints and market deep dives to build knowledge and expertise for one focus vertical in the blockchain space (e.g., the merger of DeFi and Tradfi, DePin, web3 social). This includes market size & growth analysis, identification of key industry trends, and company mapping & screening and preparation of supporting documents to monitor market activity in Attio.
- Screening & Due Diligence: Conduct first high-level evaluation of companies and build a short-list of most promising investment opportunities identified through your market research, in-bound or out-bound channels. Team up with the founders to develop investment insights and investment hypotheses, by conducting market, product, customer, competitor, and financial due diligence.
- Investment Case: Support with investment case analysis and the preparation of relevant documents for various stages of the investment process summarizing and structuring key learnings and investment hypotheses to facilitate an investment decision.
- Your Initiative or Cause: We highly value initiative, if you see any way how you can push the fund forward we’re happy to support you with that.
Your profile
- A university degree and any relevant practical experience in the field of (blockchain) tech, startups, venture capital, banking, consulting, private equity or similar.
- Strong interest in the blockchain industry, ideally well developed knowledge of the space.
- Driven, highly independent, willing to tackle both the complex and tedious with the same energy. We need people who get things done, no matter the task.
- Collaborative team-player who values hard work over ego, with high standards of professional and ethical conduct.
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Tech-savvy and passion for innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Switzerland, UK or the EU for the duration of the program. No visa sponsorship will be provided. Our office is in Zurich, depending on your location the role can be fully remote or include occasional office days.
