VP, Applied Research Unit

The VP of the Applied Research Unit at GIC will lead efforts in quantitative research to enhance execution strategies in equity markets. What You’ll Do

• Develop strategic vision and research pipeline for execution research.
• Deliver innovative quantitative solutions to improve execution outcomes.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team discussions.
• Work on market impact modeling and execution strategies.
• Identify drivers of execution performance and analyze them.
• Collaborate with traders to incorporate insights into your work.

What You Need

• 8 to 10 years of experience in a quantitative role.
• Strong interest in global equity market microstructure.
• Experience with electronic and algorithmic execution.
• Excellent coding skills in Python, R, SQL, or kdb/Q.
• Ability to manage research projects and multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
