$623B Ares Management is looking for a Vice President or Principal to join their Commercial Finance team in the Northeast. This role involves leveraging your network to originate new business opportunities and working closely with clients to provide innovative financing solutions. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and aims to support the growth of small and middle-market companies.
What You’ll Do
- Use your network to find new business opportunities
- Work on opportunities generated by the team
- Analyze and structure new business opportunities for credit approval
- Negotiate terms with prospects to move opportunities into due diligence
- Collaborate with underwriters throughout the documentation process
- Travel to meet prospects as needed
- Keep up with industry trends and report on your pipeline
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent required
- 5+ years as a Business Development Officer or underwriter, preferably in asset-based lending
- Advanced knowledge of Asset Based Lending and commercial financial services
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Experience with asset-backed lending and cash flow lending is a plus
- Strong structuring experience preferred
