Vice President, Equity Group – Buyout Investing

Monroe Capital is looking for a Vice President to join their Equity Group in Chicago. This role involves leading value creation efforts across portfolio companies and working closely with management teams to drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity and operational transformations, and will play a key role in enhancing cash flow performance.

What You’ll Do

• Work with management teams to create and implement value-creation plans.
• Lead initiatives to improve EBITDA and cash flow in portfolio companies.
• Develop and track financial models and performance metrics.
• Recruit and mentor key executives in the portfolio.
• Provide updates to leadership on progress and challenges.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on success.

What You Need

• 7-10 years of professional experience in finance or private equity.
• At least 4 years in private equity, portfolio operations, or principal investing.
• Experience leading operational transformations or turnaround initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Hands-on leader comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; MBA is a plus.
