VP, GP Stakes & Secondaries Investing

Ares Management is looking for a Vice President to join their specialized team focused on minority equity investments in alternative asset managers. In this role, you’ll lead the sourcing and execution of investments while supporting portfolio development. You’ll work closely with a talented team and engage with various stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives. This is a great opportunity to be part of a pioneering firm in the secondary markets.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the analysis and valuation of investment opportunities
• Manage the entire deal process from due diligence to closing
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to the committee
• Source new investment opportunities through various networks
• Guide junior team members in their analysis and presentations
• Engage with portfolio companies to support their growth
• Collaborate with internal teams on various strategic initiatives

What You Need

• 6-8 years of experience in GP Stakes, investment banking, private equity, or secondaries investing
• Proven track record in sourcing and executing complex private market investments
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
• Great communication and presentation abilities
• Deep understanding of private markets and asset management businesses
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
