VP, Integrated Strategies Group

GIC is looking for a VP/SVP to join their Integrated Strategies Group in Tokyo. This role involves evaluating and executing investments across various capital structures, focusing on Japanese companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking or private equity and will be expected to originate new investment ideas and lead due diligence processes. What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and execute investments across various capital structures.
• Originate and develop independent investment ideas.
• Lead due diligence, pricing, and negotiations.
• Support portfolio companies post-investment with insights and introductions.

• Participate in special projects as assigned.

What You Need

• Good academic qualifications with at least 7 years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, or similar fields.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience in deal execution.
• Ability to work across public and private markets.
• Familiarity with structuring instruments that combine downside protection with upside participation.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for building relationships.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in teams.
