Bridgepoint Interview Process & Questions
The interview process often change with each candidate, however, if you interview at Bridgepoint or any similar firms, the following are most likely to happen:
- There will be 4-6 rounds of interviews
- Junior investment professionals handle the first rounds of interviews, while the more senior staff supervise the later rounds
- It can take several weeks before the whole interview process concludes – unless it’s “on-cycle” or “on-campus” recruitment
The interview questions at Bridgepoint will be a combination of fit, behavioral, and technical / investing questions.
To prepare for these interview questions, I would recommend checking out my Growth Equity Interview Guide.
Why Bridgepoint
One of the most common questions you’ll encounter during interviews is “Why this firm”.
When the interviewer asks this question, one of the best things you can do is to mention whoever you’ve met during your networking efforts and explain how they’ve made a positive impression on you.
It’s also advisable to learn more about the firm. For this, I’d recommend listening to interviews with the firm’s leaders, investors, and management team.
Here’s an interview with William Jackson, Managing Partner at Bridgepoint:
Bridgepoint Case Study
Expect to conduct a case study during interviews. Firms use case studies to evaluate the communication skills and technical knowledge of their candidates.
Most case studies at firms like Bridgepoint tend to focus on investment recommendations and financial modeling. However, a cold calling case study may also be required for junior roles.
I’ve discussed case studies in more detail inside my Growth Equity Interview Guide.
Bridgepoint Salary & Compensation
Bridgepoint offers competitive compensation to its professionals. Analyst interns can earn salaries of $77,843 per year, while Associates can make around £90,993 per year. Remember, these figures can still vary depending on your level of experience, skillset, and education.
