    Cintrifuse Capital Overview

Cintrifuse Capital is the venture capital firm of Cintrifuse which supports local startups, helps launch companies, and invests in top VC funds.

They use a three-pronged strategy to gain returns and bring impact to their portfolio companies:

    • They make direct VC investments to top Cincinnati startups.
    • They support initiatives that encourage the creation of new venture-backable businesses in the area.
    • They invest only in the best VC funds with preference for those firms that show interest in the Midwest and see the value of the Cincinnati region.

J.B. Kropp leads Cintrifuse, including Cintrifuse Capital. The firm is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and was established in 2012.

Cintrifuse Capital Interview Process & Questions

Interview process can always change based on what the firms see fit. However, when you interview at firms like Cintrifuse Capital, you may expect to go through 4 to 6 sets of interviews.

For the initial rounds, the HR team or junior investment professionals will lead the interviews, while senior folks conduct the later part of the process. Expect the whole interview process to last for multiple weeks, except if it’s an on-campus or on-cycle recruiting.

The interview questions will be a mixture of behavioral, technical / investing, and fit questions.

    Why Cintrifuse Capital

One of the most common (and critical) questions you’ll get during interviews is “Why this firm?”

When answering this question, it’s best to include people from the firm you’ve met during your networking efforts. Tell the interviewer how their positive experience at the firm influenced your decision to apply.

Another thing is to learn more about the firm. For example, listen to interviews with its founders, investors, partners, and other key individuals, so you can better understand how they operate.

    Cintrifuse Capital Case Study

Firms always want to make sure the candidates they hire have good communication skills and deep technical knowledge. One of the ways they evaluate these traits is through case studies. That’s why you need to expect to face a case study in your interviews.

Most case studies at firms like Cintrifuse Capital will have you perform financial modeling and provide investment recommendations. However, if you’re applying for junior roles, you may also be required to do a cold calling case study.

Case studies can be challenging. That’s why I’ve discussed it in great detail inside my Growth Equity Interview Guide to help candidates out.
