    Harlem Capital Portfolio & Investments

Harlem Capital has an impressive track record of 59 investments across two funds according to Crunchbase. Some of their notable deals include Drip, Gander, and Portabl.

    Notable Transaction: Because Intelligence

Content is typically updated by a manager who has to go into each web page and change everything manually – resulting in higher chances of mistakes and misinformation.

Because Intelligence (Because), a startup which develops no-code software that connects disparate data sources to automate huge volumes of website updates, addressed this concern.

Because came in to provide a “Canva-like” editing system where e-commerce managers can publish messages and design with ease.

In May 2022, Harlem Capital led a $3 million seed funding for Because. This is the third investment of the firm after Drip and Glow Labs. Other investment firms participated including certain former Shopify executives, Gaingels and angel investors, North Coast Ventures, and Studio VC.

Because plans to use the investment to expand their team and product line, build new integrations, and use AI to further improve their performance.
