Tactical Opportunities (Tac Opps) is Blackstone’s opportunistic investment platform. The Tac Opps team invests globally across asset classes, industries and geographies, seeking to identify and execute on attractive, differentiated investment opportunities. As part of the strategy, the team leverages the intellectual capital across Blackstone’s various businesses while continuously optimizing its approach in the face of ever-changing market conditions.

Program Description

Blackstone’s Summer Analyst Program spans 10 weeks, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone’s culture.

Job Description

Blackstone’s Summer Analyst program is a unique experience among financial firms, enabling participants to enhance their perspective on business. Upon completion of training, Blackstone Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects and be staffed on a few assignments at one time. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, Summer Analysts can assume integral roles on deal teams.

Summer Analysts will work closely with the investment team on sourcing, due diligence and executing investment opportunities. This is an opportunity for an strong performer who has experience with financial analysis and research through other experience.

Responsibilities

  • Investment research
  • Financial analysis, valuation, and modeling
  • Industry and competitive analysis
  • Business diligence
  • Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use
  • Assistance in the execution and financing of transactions
  • Conduct research on companies, industries, and asset classes.
  • Perform all pertinent financial analyses, including discounted cash flow, comparable, and precedent transactions.
  • Prepare due diligence packs for the investment team, providing relevant, informative analytics and background research.
  • Conduct interviews with industry experts.
  • Prepare written summaries and presentation materials for the investment team.
  • Build detailed operating models on prospective deals.
  • Draft information memorandum and marketing materials for the investment team.
  • Provide overall support to investment team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess resourcefulness and thoroughness in conducting financial analytics, research; ability to work independently; good project management skills with the ability to multi-task; and strong written, presentation and oral communication skills.   • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
  • Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2025 – Spring 2026

Expected annual base salary range:

$110,000 - $110,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
