Job Description:             

The candidate will support the Capital Markets team with market research and analysis, and contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.

The candidate will also help manage datasets and tools to enable the efficient underwriting, monitoring, and performance assessment of its investments and the broader market. Candidate will also create presentations and reports summarizing data and analysis for use by senior management. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and keep up to date on best practices in data source management and systems.

Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, Analysts are expected to assume an integral role in the business, build relationships across the firm, and can expect to be staffed on a wide variety of assignments and projects at one time.

The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Assistance with market research and analysis, as well as investment origination and structuring
  • Consolidating, organizing, and managing information and data from numerous internal and external sources
  • Helping the team to summarize, analyze, and monitor daily market stats and activity
  • Building and utilizing Excel tools and functions to assist in database management and analytics
  • Designing and formatting PowerPoint presentations summarizing information for senior leadership
  • Updating and circulating materials and reports on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis for both internal and external use
  • Coordinating with Technology team on updates and enhancements to internal systems and reports
  • Assisting with processing of internal approval request forms
  • Understanding internal business processes and systems with the goal to streamline, improve and automate where possible and practical

Qualifications:                              

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in corporate finance, investor relations, management consulting, FP&A or related field; an understanding of credit and leveraged finance is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written and oral business communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and process management skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a desire to work in a small collaborative team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and quantitative skills

Expected annual base salary range:

$90,000 - $120,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
