Job Title: Investment Operations – Investor Services – Assistant Vice President

Job Description:

Blackstone is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, focused, and organized individual to join the Investor Services team, which is responsible for providing accurate information to our investors.

The Private Equity Investor Services team collaborates with the Investment Team, Global Fund Finance, Tax, and Legal & Compliance, as necessary. The role will have direct exposure to senior members across different Business units (BU) and Investment teams as well as the Global Institutional Client Solutions team (Global ICS) to coordinate responses to investor inquiries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, monitoring, and maintaining LP subscription documents for new fundraises and coordinating with appropriate Blackstone teams and outside counsel to facilitate acceptance
  • Serving as primary point of contact for investor onboarding inquiries
  • Recording approved investor records in systems and populating LP reference data
  • Monitoring Investor Services BU mailboxes and phone lines, validating requests to ensure authenticity and security, and coordinating across teams to address and respond to investors in a timely manner
  • Coordinate responses to certain investor inquiries with Management and Investment teams as well as Global ICS.
  • Merging LP capital notices and other ad hoc LP correspondence and posting all such LP communications as well as quarterly PCAPs and financial statements to Blackstone’s investor portal
  • Maintaining updated LP contact information and reference data
  • Collecting, monitoring, and maintaining LP transfer requests and coordinating with appropriate Blackstone teams and outside counsel to facilitate execution
  • Recording approved transfer records in systems and populating and maintaining investor reference data
  • Establishing fundraising data room, maintaining access and permissions for authorized parties, and posting marketing materials
  • Coordinating and responding to LP requests for confirmation and those from their auditors
  • Determining LP attributes and ownership for acquisition vehicles; and
  • Working across Blackstone business units to ensure consistent and “best” practices are applied to the Investor Services functions

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong leadership and organization skills, exceptional project management skills and ability to quickly learn new processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivation to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work well as part of a small, tightly knit team as well as to build relationships across the firm
  • Familiarity with the private equity industry and Anti-Money Laundering practices
  • Expertise with Microsoft Suite – (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau preferred

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $185,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
