The Senior Associate, Impact Capital is an integral part of the Elevate’s Impact Capital team working to pilot and scale financial tools that support Elevate’s work to advance equity through climate action. As part of the Impact Capital team, the Senior Associate, Impact Capital is responsible for identifying and building relationships with potential borrowers for loan products, providing excellent customer service while supporting applicants through the underwriting process and assisting with loan closings. Additionally, the Senior Associate will assist in implementing the infrastructure and systems needed to support growth and program expansion over the next few years. The ideal candidate for this dynamic position excels at outreach, likes to create and improve processes, is very detail oriented, has experience or is interested in learning about financial statements, and is comfortable with iterative processes.
The Senior Associate, Impact Capital reports to the Director of Impact Capital and works closely with the Workforce Development Leadership Team and staff. Elevate’s corporate office is in Chicago, IL. This position is open to remote work, with travel required as needed.
Responsibilities
- Identify and provide direct outreach to potential loan applicants, assisting them through every step of the loan process from application to closing.
- Develop strong and trusting relationships with program participants to provide both pre-loan and post-loan technical assistance in the form of monthly check-ins and other supportive measures as needed.
- Assist in the review of loan applications and development of loan memos.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Workforce Development Team staff to ensure program alignment.
- Document internal program process and solicit feedback to improve the program experience and operations.
- Represent Elevate externally with partner organizations and community-based organizations by providing superior customer service and project/program delivery and demonstrating organizational values, commitment to equity, and principles of partnership.
- Communicate regular project/program updates and results to internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Work with communications team to oversee the creation of marketing and promotional materials including term sheets, applications, and financial templates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required or relevant lived experience; Project management certification, and/or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Lending, Outreach, or related field preferred
- Minimum three (3+) years of relevant experience in program management, business administration or community outreach

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong Project Management skills with attention to detail preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working with data and performing basic analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel or related software
- Willingness to travel as needed

Compensation
The total compensation for this position includes health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), defined contribution benefit (401k with contribution), professional development, generous paid time off policies, and a flexible schedule. This is an exempt individual contributor position with a salary range of $65,000 – $75,000, based on experience.
