About Giant

Giant Ventures is a mission-driven global venture capital firm based in London. We invest in purpose-driven founders solving the world’s biggest challenge. We champion early-stage entrepreneurs creating a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient plane. We lead pre-seed and seed rounds and invest between $10-20M at Series B and beyond across three themes: climate, health, and inclusive capitalism.

Giant was created by founders, for founders. Started by two entrepreneurs, Giant has a unique team of founders, CEOs, and global leaders. We are on track to invest $1B into purpose-driven technology this decade.

The team at Giant shares an insatiable curiosity, drive, and entrepreneurial spirit. We are an international, tight-knit, and highly motivated team looking for a self-directed individual who thrives in the pursuit of excellence. Together, we care about finding, funding, and supporting the companies that will have a huge impact on global challenges over the next decade. For more about our team and portfolio, see giant.vc.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional investor to join our team. The Associate will help to lead sourcing and thematic research for Giant’s Seed fund. This is an exciting opportunity to be a core part of Giant at a phase of rapid growth for the firm, with plenty of space to grow and contribute to the strategy.

Like everyone at Giant, you will be expected to join us on the entrepreneurial journey of building Giant as a category-defining firm, and roll up your sleeves to help us win.

You will have the opportunity to attend all investment committees.

What we’re looking for

  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and rigour. You love to dig deep into the unknown, seeking ideas on the edge with the potential to shape the future, wherever they may be. You are constantly pushing your growth curve to excel as an investor.
  • Hustle, Urgency, & Stamina. You use time and resources effectively, learn from setbacks, and enjoy a challenging path.
  • Bold but humble. You present ideas with conviction but hold them loosely: the best ideas win at Giant.
  • Creative entrepreneurship. You are a self-starter who relishes driving your projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • High in EQ: you demonstrate excellent critical judgement and strong intuition, develop trust quickly, and can be persuasive.
  • Networking. You are personable and enjoy meeting and learning from new people.

Requirements

We’re committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability or age.

  • A genuine passion for technology, startups, and mission-driven entrepreneurship.
  • Demonstrated creativity and the ability to generate value from a standing start.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of work experience. Experience in investment banking, VC, consulting, or product/operations/engineering at tech start-ups is a positive but not a requirement. You don’t need to have worked in finance or consulting!
  • PhDs are welcome, and top credentials and/or academic achievements are viewed favourably.
  • Excellent analytical skills with basic financial understanding – you excel in quantitative and qualitative analysis and take pleasure from deeper analysis, diving into raw data. If you don’t know something, you’ll figure it out.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, you must be able to communicate analysis effectively across verbal and written mediums.
  • An international and multicultural mindset, and a strong existing network within technology are a plus.
  • You have some edge that will allow you to start sourcing great seed-stage companies within weeks of joining Giant.

Culture

  • We are united by a drive to back the companies that matter and to have a long-lasting impact while driving top-tier returns.

  • Competitive salary and long-term incentives. Your compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Healthcare benefits and pension scheme.
  • 25 days annual leave plus local public holidays.
  • Opportunities for international travel.
