Detail: Headline is hiring an investor who will be supporting our early and growth investment teams by sourcing and speaking to the most promising start-ups to help us determine their fit as investment prospects for Headline. The individual we are looking for will specifically focus on b2b software.

Location: Bay Area

Time Requirement: Full-time, the investor will manage their own schedule in pacific time zone.

Tasks and Role Expectations:

  • Speak to and build trust with 25+ CEOs from exciting North American start-ups each week
  • Synthesize call notes and key takeaways from conversations with founders
  • Summarize the most compelling opportunities and report these to team members focused on b2b software
  • Build a network in the start-up and venture capital ecosystem and maintain relationships with relevant founders
  • Undertake market research for Headline investment areas within b2b software


  • This role will present the candidate with a unique opportunity to build extensive tacit knowledge and domain expertise and be a key member of the b2b software team after talking with hundreds of founders
  • Naturally build a network with up-and-coming entrepreneurs in North America
  • Jumpstart a career in start-ups, tech, or venture capital
  • Join an experienced team with a flat hierarchy

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent conversation and people skills
  • One to three years of practical experience in start-ups or tech, b2b software knowledge
  • Enthusiasm for venture and startups
