The Opportunity: Data Operations Analyst

Principal Responsibilities:

Fund Administration:

  • Work with Fund Administrators to ensure proper accounting and maintenance of our Portfolio Management System.
  • Review Portfolio Management System for accuracy and completeness with respect to valuations, commitments, capital calls, distributions, etc. Resolve any reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review capital calls and distributions across our various vehicles. Ensure accurate and timely notification, reconciliation of incoming funds, and delivery of funds to the relevant third party/parties.

Investment Activity:

  • Manage creation of assets and investments in Portfolio Management System
  • Review and maintain security level attributes in Portfolio Management System
  • Review performance reporting system to ensure data is accurate and consistent with other internal systems (e.g.  Administrator’s records).

General:

  • Contribute to initiatives regarding the centralization of Family Offices processes.
  • Produce various reports for Investment Teams.
  • Facilitate timely responses to ad hoc requests from Client Teams.
  • Drive comprehensive and precise centralized record-keeping.
  • Initiate and implement process improvements.
  • Utilize ICONIQ’s data warehouse and data sets to automate and enhance reporting and data quality checks.

 Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Accounting or Operations experience within Hedge Fund, Private Equity/Venture Capital firm or Fund Administrator.
  • Experience with Addepar or other Portfolio Management Accounting System and Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of the subscription and redemption processes, and of the Net Asset Value calculation.
  • Strong Excel knowledge (construction of pivot tables, and use of VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and similar formulas)
  • Experience using SQL, Snowflake or an equivalent data warehouse is a plus along with Tableau.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (must communicate effectively with internal and external parties, across various levels of seniority).
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic a fast-paced environment while being extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a solid academic background.

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our New York City office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $90,000-$100,000 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
