Are you looking to be a part of a dynamic venture capital team, where you’ll get a chance to put your experience into practice and forge connections across the European startup ecosystem? Then join us as our new Associate! This role can be based in either London or Berlin.
Here’s what you’ll be doing as an Associate at Join:
- You will expand your network within the wider European startup ecosystem and independently source deals at conferences, networking events, through databases or directly through interactions with entrepreneurs, fellow VCs and business angels
- You will analyse investment targets and support due diligence processes
- You will work independently under the guidance of one of our principals and frequently travel to Berlin (if based in London) and London (if based in Berlin) to spend time with the team
- You will get the chance to support the portfolio and will be responsible for tracking performance and supporting our internal reporting
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree; a technical degree is a plus
- Minimum three years professional experience of which two years in venture capital; time spent in a startup is a plus
- Curious, problem solving mindset and technical/engineering affinity
- Flexibility to adjust and to re-prioritise
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Confident in forming, expressing and defending an opinion, as well as presenting to groups
- Existing network within European venture and an interest in growing this
- Specific interest in enterprise, deeptech and industrial technologies
- Team member attitude: collaborative, empathetic and communicative
- Deeply passionate about people, technology and entrepreneurship
- Fluency in English required; German and additional languages are a plus
