TEAM OVERVIEW

The Credit & Markets division at KKR includes both our robust Credit platform and our entire Capital Markets team.  KKR Credit, which was established in 2004, today offers many active investment strategies across Alternative and Leveraged Credit that represent a range of risk/return and liquidity profiles. KKR Credit uses a fundamental, bottoms-up approach to manage $200 billion of credit investments. The team is comprised of approximately 100 investment professionals who take a thematic approach toward identifying and proactively sourcing opportunities. We focus on downside risk, creating low cost options, and seek investments in which we have a competitive advantage in sourcing, diligence or analysis. Our process leverages the full KKR network, including investment teams, capital markets, operational experts, portfolio company management and our senior advisor network.

KKR’s Capital Markets (KCM) team of approximately 60 provides best in class support to our clients, portfolio companies, and our firm by tailoring capital markets advice and creating innovative solutions for investments. The KCM team focuses on mutual funds, pension funds, and global hedge funds by assisting with financing and capital structure improvement for our portfolio companies. As an important resource for our Private Equity team, the KCM team also closely collaborates with investors to provide enhanced market intelligence and tailored solutions to address the client’s needs. The KCM team is responsible for advising and executing complex financing transaction, including acquisition financings, private equity syndications, buybacks, restructurings, etc. It also has capabilities to arrange debt and equity financings and structure investment products including asset-based lending facilities, leveraged loans, public equity, etc.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Business & Strategy Associate to support the Chief Operating Officer of Credit & Markets division on a wide range of projects for the broader Credit & Markets leadership team.  The Associate will work with the COO to determine and prioritize projects, complete deliverables, and transform/operationalize recurring processes.

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience at an asset management firm, investment bank, management consulting firm, or in another finance-related role with similar responsibilities.  Ideal candidates will have been in a group that offers exposure to credit products and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and managing agendas, presentations and materials for recurring management, committee, Board, and other various internal/external meetings
  • Overseeing projects and initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of COO, and C&M leadership/business heads
  • Supporting the creation of strategic business plans for the Credit & Markets team, inclusive of conducting industry research, competitive analysis, and some basic financial modeling/analysis
  • Supporting the budgeting process for both headcount and financial planning purposes
  • Collecting and analyzing data in an effort to support decision making for the group around financial, marketing and other key areas
  • Designing and implementing the systems and processes needed to enable the seamless running of the Credit & Markets leadership team
  • Providing leverage to the C&M COO, both internally and externally, by acting as a “stand in” where needed
  • Assisting with the measurement and tracking of priorities
  • Creating and maintaining management reports tracking financial and operating metrics
  • Supporting the COO with various ad-hoc deliverables such as creating presentations and conducting one-off analyses

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range
$150,000—$175,000 USD
