About us

KOMPAS VC is a European early-stage investor with teams in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen and Tel Aviv. We focus on funding start-ups that accelerate the adoption of digital technology and industrial automation in the real estate, construction, and manufacturing sectors, and dramatically reduce waste and CO2 emissions. Our fund makes initial investments in Seed and Series A rounds with ticket sizes typically ranging from €1.0 – 5.0m.

We are a fully remote team of 10. Our Amsterdam team is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. You are naturally curious and capable of easily interacting with senior management. You also have a genuine personal interest in the digital transformation and decarbonization of the building and manufacturing industries.

About the position

KOMPAS is looking for a Visiting Analyst to join the investment team and support us during research, deal sourcing, investment, and portfolio management activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include all stages of our investment processes, including market research, identifying and screening potential investment opportunities, building business models and preparing various types of presentations both for internal and external use.

While at KOMPAS, you will work with the entire investment team and gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and sectors within venture capital.

About you

• Already living in the Netherlands, with the right to work in Europe
• Available full-time (40 hours per week)
• Very strong academic background; you are currently reading for or finished a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Finance at a leading university
• Relevant technology start-up experience and / or technical understanding of software development, digital business models is a plus
• Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, pro-active, and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages are a plus, but not required
